The award ceremony was absolutely crazy!

Way back in December 2015, we announced that the NME Awards have unveiled their nominations for the Vlogger of the Year award. Amongst some massive contenders and tough competition, the public has spoken and the winner of their very own, hotly lusted after NME Award is... KSI!

The gamer/rapper, who is mere HOURS away from hitting 12 million subscribers, attended the awards last night to scoop up his prize in front of some of the most acclaimed and beloved members of the 21st Century rock scene. We don't know about KSI, but we would have been SO nervous.

His achievement is just another sign that KSI (Olajide "JJ" Olatunji) is taking YouTube by storm this year, especially following this hilarious interview he did with everyone's new favourite superhero, Ryan Reynolds a.k.a Deadpool. In true KSI style, he starts the interview with an impromptu stare-off. It's a must-watch.

Held at the 02 Academy in Brixton, London on the 17th of February, the votes were finally announced for the 2016 NME Awards with "Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Wolf Alice and The Libertines among the big winners". However, the nominations for Vlogger of the Year were all we held our breath for, and we couldn't believe the outcome! Up against KSI was Vikkstar123, Charlie McDonnell, Joe Weller, Dan Howell and Savannah Brown - and knowing what the Phandom did to our own awards, we saw the evening going a totally different direction!

Also present at the awards was Zoe London, the beauty/lifestyle/blue haired DJ that dominates YouTube with her killer lookbooks. As well as looking fierce on the red carpet, Zoe took this incredible footage of the moment the Bring Me The Horizon lead singer Oli Sykes jumped on Coldplay's table in true rock and roll fashion and completely trashed it. Amazing.

Maybe next year will prove better for all the other Vlogging nominees, but who do YOU think deserves the 2017 award from NME? Let us know in the comments.
