Markiplier Gets Diamond Play Button 31 Million Subscribers Before PewDiePie

We can't stop laughing right now.
If you've been living in a cave or simply have had zero access to the Internet over the last month, you may not be aware that PewDiePie launched a massive campaign for YouTube to finally send him a diamond play button. The accolade is dished out to those special creators who break the 10 million subscriber milestone, meaning that not only did Felix get his button 35 million subs too late, but it makes Markiplier getting his button 31 million subscribers before Pewds even funnier.
Yup, this actually just happened. Markiplier currently has a subscriber count of approximately 13.5 million - and he's already received his diamond play button! In one of the most adorable videos ever posted on the Markiplier channel, we see our favourite goofball chatter away about his new favourite possession and how it will now live on his bedside table next to his prized Taco Trophy from PlayList Live. In fact, the only thing that makes the whole Mark vs Felix button duel even funnier is the fact that, in his video, Mark yells "I FINALLY GOT IT"... even though PewDiePie has been waiting for his since 2013.
Whilst Mark is adult enough to admit that he may have only received his diamond play button "because Felix made a stink about his", he does then turn to his loyal community and dedicate the award to them: "I only have you guys to thank for it... it represents like, how far we have come as a community". Mark also briefly mentions that his "first thought" when he got it was "how easy it would be to beat someone to death with it", but we're just going to move swiftly past that revelation.
The final part of Mark's vlog harks back to a previous video, in which he addresses the security concerns following Christina Grimmie's murder at a fan meet-and-greet. With VidCon starting any day now, Mark took the time to ensure his fans knew that both himself, other creators and attendees would be very much protected at the convention: "I don't want you guys to worry because this year there's going to be much higher security... We go there to meet you guys and we don't want anything to get in the way of that".
