What is it with companies and putting stories on their apps? Stories are nice and all, but people don't love them that much.

... Seriously, why are companies so obsessed with stories?? You can't even make money from them. SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME?

Anyway, Netflix's new not-stories-but-actually-stories feature is called 'previews' and takes the form of circular videos that sit at the top of the Netflix mobile app, much like stories on other apps. These stories show you 30 second previews of shows and movies on Netflix. So if you're on Netflix and don't want to watch a show, or watch a trailer for a show - both of which are right there in front of you - you can now watch a 30 preview instead. Sure, why not.

Netflix say there will be up to 75 of such previews to swipe through when the feature launches. There is no official launch date yet, but expect it to be very soon.
