It's never too late to change things back

"You like Snapchat", Snapchat said to us, one day, "you like its functions, its features. Is this correct?"

"Yes, Snapchat." We replied.

"I see, I see." Snapchat said, stroking its chin thoughtfully. "And if we were to change all of it, for no reason - would you like that?"

"N... no, obviously not", we replied, "why the hell would you do that? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, you know?"

"You're right." Snapchat said. "We SHOULD change all of it."

"No -", we said, "we don't want you to do that. Please keep it the same."

- This is the metaphorical conversation that took place between Snapchat and its users last year when the company decided to dramatically change the entire design of its app, in a fashion that was hated by... basically everyone?

Now, it seems the company is slowly, s-l-o-w-l-y, learning its lesson, and working to change the app into something more usable.

Here's a look at the new beta version

This version is still in beta, meaning its being rolled out to a few select people to test, before its spread to the general public. As you can see, this version cleans up the 'stories' page, which is currently, post-redesign, an absolute mess. In the latest version stories from friends, brands and random people you don't even follow(??!!) are all just smushed together into one, ungodly hellscape. At least now the

People already seem to be liking it

It's actually quite surreal to see people being nice about a Snapchat redesign.
