We the Unicorns

Aaron has some SERIOUS skills!

YouTube has the unique ability to shock us all the time - and our jobs involve staring at the day website 24 hours a flipping day! But when we noticed Aaron Soetaert, a one-armed Air Force military veteran, uploading his unbelievable Overwatch footage to YouTube we were immediately blown away. Honestly, even with two arms we're no where near as good as this.

Whilst he may only have over 8,000 subscribers, his videos are picking up attention from the gaming industry for his impression controller techniques. After returning home from serving his country in Iraq, he was tragically hit by a drunk driver. Even though he survived the collision, the crash cost him his dominant arm and he has been left one-armed for many years. He found a way to overcome his struggles though, and is now kicking some serious butt in Overwatch.

In Overwatch, Aaron makes some seriously impressive moves as Pharah, but he also likes to upload clips of him playing other FPS shooters such as Call of Duty, Titanfall 2 and Destiny. He also uses his YouTube channel to share inspirational messages and make people laugh with his character Nubster; which is just his arm covered in tape and silly faces.

Over on Twitter, Aaron often shares videos of himself training and spending time with his daughter, but one of the most inspiration videos teaches folks at home how he's able to game one handed. You can see that his technique focuses on using every single flat surface of his hand to mash the analog and XYBA buttons, whilst keeping his fingers spread at the back to focus on triggers.

Playing one-armed like this is mad impressive, especially since Aaron's controller hasn't been modded to suit his disability.

Make sure you head over to Aaron's YouTube and hit that big red subscribe button to see what other Overwatch killstreaks he uploads next!
