We the Unicorns

We're sorry to tell you this, but they really are.

We're not being hyperbolic here. PewDiePie has just spoke out about the exact type of "fans" he doesn't want associated with his channel anymore, and we couldn't agree any more. Thanks to a few ugly and hateful Bros on Felix's official Facebook page, a sweet moment between Pewds and the Make-A-Wish Foundation was tarnished because of tasteless and inappropriate jokes - at the expense of a disabled young girl.

This is one of the first public charity campaigns PewDiePie has done with the foundation because he doesn't "want people to think I do it for attention". However, after he shared these beautiful images of him hanging out with his new favourite Bro Daisy, the post attracted the exact OPPOSITE type of attention Felix wanted. The post, which he shared "from the mother of a fan who got to meet me", sees Pewds, the pugs and Daisy hanging out and playing games, but he was "really disappointed to see some of my fans commenting on the post; making fun of clearly disabled fans". You can see the original post below - expand to see the (now moderated) comments.

Thankfully, the bullying was spotted before it got TOO bad but it didn't stop PewDiePie from "blocking these people INCLUDING EVERYONE who liked their posts... I don't want anything to do with fans like these". The comments now seem to be hidden or deleted by the original poster, but in an angry Tumblr post Felix included one of the offending images (posted below) to highlight just how sick some of his fans were being with their "stupid, horrible, idiotic comments".

Towards the end of the Tumblr post, Felix talks more about the fans he truly does appreciate; "Daisy is such an amazing girl who taught me awesome things like Bro Shambo and I'm SO proud to have her as a fan! I would honestly pick 1 Daisy bro, over 43 million likes the ones in the post. Please do send the family and awesome bro Daisy some love and support! AND DON'T REPLY OR COMMENT ABOUT BAD PEOPLE". After the nasty comments were deleted/hidden, a steady stream of positive messages have poured in since to applaud Daisy and her courageous family.

In response to the whole situation, one particular fan on the Facebook page posted a message to sum up our entire feelings, so thanks to Daniel Gerona for being mature enough to say what's on your mind; “So I just read the news you posted about other bros making fun of Daisy, and I am very proud that I follow a YouTuber such as yourself. Please keep emanating the example of a good human being, we need more people like you in this world. In addition, to Daisy and her family, congrats of meeting such a cool guys! Whatever you do, don’t stop loving, it will be the only thing that keeps a family together in troubled times".
