This could be a life-changing job for one lucky person!
For huge fans of the PewDiePie channel, it looks like a once in a lifetime opportunity has just opened up for y'all - so pay attention! Over on the official PewDiePie Facebook page, Felix has shared a link to a job application which has sent viewers absolutely wild. For one lucky candidate, the chance to be the Production Assistant to the biggest YouTube channel in the world is a dream come true, and here's how it could be you.
The job, which strangely has no closing date for applications, sees Felix try to "expand the team" further than just himself, Brad and Michael, as they open up PewDiePie HQ to some fresh new talent. The Facebook post alone already has 448 shares and over 1000 comments at the time of writing, so we can't imagine how many people will be fighting for the role - do you think you could make the cut?!
Honestly, joining this cuddle puddle could be your new job if you're the right applicant!
Okay, so for the role of PewDiePie's Production Assistant, here's everything you need to know: "The successful candidate will construct creative content ideas for a successful YouTube channel alongside managing video uploads and scheduling... The producer will work closely with creators to develop daily content for the channel." If you think this applies to you so far, here are the official role requirements:
- "Previous experience in production is essential
- Must have a strong knowledge of the YouTube platform
- Understanding of video games and internet culture
- Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro/Sony Vegas
- Ability to come up with creative ideas on a daily basis
- Capacity to work to tight deadlines
- Good at time management and scheduling
- Must be willing to relocate to Brighton
- Age 18 years or older"
Some comments on the job announcement have been attacking Felix for trying to hire someone by suggesting that he is so "fresh out of ideas that [he] needs to pay someone to come up with them for [him]". Thankfully, in defence of Felix, fans have responded to these messages by pointing out how difficult it must be to run a YouTube channel that films, edits and uploads every single day. In fact, it might just be nice for PewDiePie HQ to have an extra pair of hands!
