The Phandom Has Raised Thousands For Charity To Celebrate Phil's Birthday

The fan group have already raised over £6000, at the time of writing
The Phandom, the name given to the Dan and Phil fandom, have raised over £6000 for 'Make A Wish', in celebration of Phil Lester's upcoming 31st birthday. The fundraising is still ongoing (you can donate here), so there's a good chance that the amount of money raised will have shot up even between me writing this story and you reading it.
Shoutout to Beatrice G.C. for for drawing my attention to this story in the comments of the latest episode of YouTuber News.
On the official page, the organisers have written: "Phil Lester is an amazing positive person who makes us smile. The phandom would like to give back. In honor of his 31st birthday, we are fundraising for Make A Wish. I know it's short notice but hopefully this can become a yearly thing with higher goals."
The original goal amount was easily reached and so was raised to £6000, which has itself, now been easily surpassed. There's great momentum behind this and there's honestly no telling just how much could be raised.
The page also has information about the (fantastic) cause they're raising money for:
"Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!"
It's a really wonderful cause. Even if you aren't necessarily a member of the Phandom, you could still do some incredible good by donating to this wonderful charity. Please consider donating by clicking here.
