"Pokémon Generations" is a new series of short episodes inspired by 20 years of Pokémon video games - premiering weekly on YouTube!

In its 20th anniversary year, fans of Pokémon have been absolutely spoiled. We've got "Pokémon Sun/Moon" coming soon, we're still obsessed with Pokémon GO, and even the old games have had their resurgence thanks to the Virtual Console. As if that wasn't enough, we're even being blessed with an all-new anime series called "Pokémon Generations". And here's the best bit - it's all coming to YouTube.

"Pokémon Generations" will be a different story to that of Ash Ketchum and his trusty Pikachu that you're probably familiar with. Inspired more by specific events from the six different eras of video games, "Generations" will be an 18-episode series comprised of YouTube-length episodes: meaning each will be around 3-5 minutes long.

The first episode debuts on Pokémon's YouTube channel this week at 5PM BST on Friday (Sep 16th). We can't wait to see a new story from the Pokémon world!
