This is honestly one of the bravest things we've ever seen.

In the past, we've written about the Saccone-Joly family and their struggles with trolls, mainstream media and jealous viewers, but we've never seen a bully send a YouTuber such a powerful message. In a tweet recently shared by Jonathan, one of their oldest and most prolific cyberbullies has step forward and offered their sincerest apologies to the whole family... on a massively public scale.

The bully, whose identity we're keeping anonymous on the site, previously tried to contact Jonathan on Facebook but realised that he had never received the message, so they tried again on Twitter. In the message, they extended the Saccone-Joly family their "long overdue" message after they realised they needed to "swallow [their] pride and make things right". You can see the full message below, and can click the images to expand.

In the deeply moving messages, the troll talks about how, at the time of their most extreme cyberbullying, they were suffering from "severe post natal depression" and decided to take their "anger and pain out on the easiest avenue; you guys. You had everything I didn't at the time, and I was envious". They discuss how they would stalk the Saccone-Joly's YouTube channel, social media platforms and even threads on Guru Gossiper in order to say spiteful things about the family.

After explaining their reasons for bullying both Jonathan and Anna, stating that it was because they has "spiralled into a very dangerous and lonely place of self-loathing and hate", the troll then makes it clear that they are out of that emotional state and are now ready to make amends; "Life is too short to carry around so much bitterness and hatred, and I’m in a place now where I’m happy, I feel blessed to have come through the other side of my demons and hardships intact, I have an incredible life, and I’d like to make amends for my mistakes” - which we think is pretty freaking mature.

What do you think about the Saccone-Joly troll - do they deserve to be recognised as a "friend" by Jonathan due to their bravery, or do you think that they've lost their chance to be friends with a family they have so deeply hurt? Let us know in the comments below what you think about the apology, and watch our weekly SLAY or NAY video to make sure you're on top of all the latest YouTuber news and gossip from the last seven days!
