Well that's certainly one way to stay protected!
In case you were living under a rock, you may have seen that a little event known as the VMAs took place in Madison Square Garden in New York City last weekend. A couple famous people such as Beyonce, Kanye West, Rihanna and more turned up - but we forgot all about them when we spotted one of our favourite sex vloggers strut down the red carpet in a dress made entirely out of condoms.
YouTuber and "clinical sexologist" Shannon Boodram worked in collaboration with Trojan to create a dress designed to "spark conversations and reinforce the importance of safe sex" - which we're pretty sure it did! Trojan's campaign went wider a field than just a dress made out of condoms, with a video series featuring Shannon and fellow vlogger Josh Levya highlighting the importance of sexual health called "MTV's Guide To...".
With 80% of sexually active people getting an STI at some point in their lives and almost half of the 20 million new STI's coming from people between the ages of 15 and 24, we hope that Trojan and Shannon's publicity stunt will draw some major attention to the vital nature of condoms. What a fantastic way to make a statement!
