Zayn or Harry. Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Snapchat or Insta Stories. With a lot of things in life, you're either on one side or the other; and in the battle between social media storytelling platforms, things are really coming to a head. It seems as if not a day goes by without either Snapchat or Instagram adding some bold new feature - and today is no different. Snapchat have just launched three new additions which you're either going to love or absolutely hate.

You're probably going to like is the new Snapchat infinity tool.

The infinity tool on Snapchat means a photo Snap has the ability to be on screen for an endless amount of time. At the time of writing, the tool will only be available for photos; but the ability for infinite videos is set to come at a later date. However, you can now loop 10-second Snapchat videos - essentially creating an endless viewing.

But as is Snapchat's way of working, once a person closes or taps off the image or video, it will vanish forever. You and your friends will probably be divided over this- surely the quick viewing time is what makes Snapchat special? But, at the same time, you won't be complaining when you can watch that video of your crush over and over again...

Another cool feature being added is the Magic Eraser, which allows you to rub away unwanted items in the background; and add a pattern or custom background instead. Again, this is only currently available for images, but will hopefully come to video soon.

Finally, if you're a fan of the brush tools which normally come in circle or square form, get ready to enjoy the emoji brush. As you'll probably have guessed, the emoji brush allows you to paint streaks of emojis across your images.

The new updates from Snapchat come at an exciting time as the app tries to get ahead of Instagram - who have grown to over 200 million users per month.

What do you think of the new updates? And which side are you on? Vote in our poll below.
