Louise Pentland is one of the nicest people we've ever met (actual fact) and, despite over 2 million subscribers, clothing ranges and sell-out tours, she's remained entirely down to earth and is almost bemused by her rise to fame and success. When fans say they feel like Louise is their friend, you know she feels the same way.
So when she made a video for Cancer Research UK and opened up and losing her mum to cancer, it's safe to say we became a blubbering mess. Louise has recently dyed her hair pink to honour Breast Cancer Awareness Month and sat down to tell viewers about the two year period where her mum was ill and eventually passed away when Louise was just seven years old. "Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35. At 37, it had spread to her brain" Louise said through tears.
The reason Louise is taking now to open up about her loss is because she's hoping to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK and smashed her Ł10,000 target in just a few hours. At the time of writing, Louise is only a few pounds off Ł20,000 with the amount constantly rising.
