Well, it's not entirely incorrect...

Tanya really has been winning at life recently; if it wasn't enough for her to release her new book 'Tanya Bakes', she's also revealed her new Tanya Burr Cosmetics line, 'Soft Luxe' and has been crowned Glamour Magazine's 'YouTuber Of The Year'. But despite all of her achievements, it seems as though she's still being introduced as 'Zoella's Best Friend'.

Last week (Thursday 30th June), Tanya appeared on the UK breakfast talk show, This Morning, to promote her new cookbook and bake her incredible salted caramel cheesecake. However, whilst being introduced by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, she was simply described as 'Zoella and Alfie Deyes best friend'. Of course, this isn't factually incorrect, as they really are best friends, but Tanya's fans were more upset that their fave hadn't been recognised for her own successes.

Like with most YouTube drama, Tanya's fans took to Twitter to show their outrage, using the hashtag #TanyaBurrTM - which actually ended up trending. Although most of her subscribers watching and using the hashtag were just too excited to be seeing their favourite on live TV, there were a few 'BurrBears' who picked up on Holly and Phillip's introduction and thought it was their duty to tell This Morning that she is a star in her own right.

Obviously, we know that Tanya is more than Zoe's best friend; she's launched a successful make-up collection, written not one, but two books and has even become a UN ambassador for their #TimeForGirls campaign. But we have to remember that for those who usually watch the breakfast show, Tanya Burr may not be a name that they've ever heard of before. So, the TV duo announcing Tan as Zoella's friend, who has now become a household name, may be easier for their viewers to recognise her and her achievements. Or maybe it's just because Holly and Phillip are huge fans of Zalfie, who knows?

Of course, this is no excuse for the mainstream media to turn a blind eye to any YouTuber that isn't Zoella, but Tanya appearing on This Morning might just be another step to getting these Internet stars recognised. Let us know whether you watched Tanya on This Morning in the comments.
