He's raising funds in a very cool way!
Tyler Oakley is putting his name to another amazing cause. A huge campaigner and supporter for the LGBTQ community Tyler has now partnered up Heard Well to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month and has created a compilation CD titled Pride Jams. This all comes about within the same time as the Orlando shootings which Tyler has spoken about in his beautiful video tilted Rainbow Road.
The CD features 12 artists that are all different in almost every way: gender, sexuality, race, romantic attraction, age, and most noticeably, musical styling. You can purchase the CD or get the Pride Jams limited edition bundle which includes a signed copy of the CD, a poster and a pin badge.
A portion of the proceeds will go to charity The Trevor Project which offers a national 24-hour confidential suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth. They have also helped educate thousands by offering workshops and training to teachers and social workers to help them gain more understanding go the LGBTQ community.
This is the first compilation Tyler has created and he is very keen to do more, though he is unsure of every actually producing his own music he would never fully rule it out.
The compilation includes music from the likes of Adam Lambert, Shamir, Lowell and Mary Lambert. How amazing would it be to say your fave YouTuber has made you mix tape? Well now you can. You can purchase Pride Jams on iTunes or from Heard Wall.
