Tributes Pour In For YouTuber Who Died In Tragic Glider Crash

On Sunday the 4th of December, a YouTuber watched by millions was tragically killed in a glider crash in the South of England. Matt Wright, who went by Balleka on YouTube, was flying near Brentor on Dartmoor over the weekend when his glider collided with the ground in front of shocked witnesses. The emergency services were called immediately, and the Police have since said Matt died under no "suspicious circumstances".
The YouTuber, who had racked up millions of views with his stunning glider flying videos, was flying at one of his favourite gliding spots in Devon when he died. The Police made this statement about the incident; "A man in his 40's from the Tiverton area was the pilot and died in the crash. There was nobody else in the glider". After Matt's passing was announced, tributes started pouring into his official Facebook page.
Lisa Humphries, the chairwoman at the Devon & Somerset Gliding Club where Matt died, was devastated by the news: “Matt Wright was a highly experienced pilot and friend to all of us at the Devon and Somerset Gliding Club. He was always full of energy and loved every aspect of aviation. Not only was he an expert glider pilot, but also an accomplished commercial Airline Captain, film maker and cartoonist. Our sincere condolences go to his family at this sad times”.
Lots of fans of Matt Wright's glider channel sent messages thanking him for his content and "inspirational" videos on his Facebook, after finding out the shocking news of his passing. Matt's last video, which saw him flying for 5 hours, has now become a memorial video, with many of his fans leaving their final goodbye in the comments section.
