10 November 2015, 16:41
It's time to see your faves in a whole different light...
When UK fashion magazine Instyle launched their awards for YouTubers and social media stars, we did a little cheer. It seems magazines are becoming more and more switched on to just how brilliant our favourite vloggers are. Voted for by the public, the awards covered everything from Best Beauty YouTuber to Rising Instagram Star and - as predicted - a bunch of our favourites made the final cut.
To celebrate, Instyle whisked the winners away to have their photograph taken by legendary photographer Rankin. The results? Breathtaking. Here's the final photos and who won what.
Did your favourite not make the list? Tweet us and let us know who should have won at @WeTheUnicorns.
Outstanding YouTuber of the Year / Best Get-Ready Video
Yup, Fleur bagged the biggest gong and was awarded the best YouTuber of 2015. It's been such a busy year for Fleur having released a range of lashes with Eyelure, her own make-up range and gone on a book tour of the States. Congrats, Fleur!
Tanya Burr - Best Beauty YouTuber
Another YouTuber who has taken over the world this year, Tanya has managed to squeeze in a make-up launch, multiple appearances at London Fashion Week and getting married to fellow vlogger Jim Chapman!
Glam and Glitter - Rising Instagram Star
Tamara, AKA Glam and Glitter, is a well known blogger who has over 40000 subscribers on YouTube. If you love fashion and style, Tamara's Instagram account is filled with outfit inspiration, a bunch of food porn and so much travel inspiration that you'll be gutted you've lost your passport. Thanks to having over 300,000 followers, Tamara bagged the Instagram prize and we reckon it was very well deserved!
Niomi Smart - Most Inspirational Lifestyle YouTuber
If there's one YouTuber who makes us want to put the burgers down and eat clean, it's Niomi. if you're not already familiar, Niomi's channel is filled with great healthy recipes, travel, fashion, beauty and vlogging. And can we just take a minute to appreciate this photograph?! Marcus Butler is a lucky man!
Estee Lalonde- Best Beauty Reviewer
That's the thing about Estee, she's honest. So when she reviews a product on her blog or YouTube channel, we know she's talking straight from the heart. We're predicting a huge 2016 for Estee thanks to her channel rebranding and collab with the Body Shop. Well done, Estee!
Talk Becky Talk - Best Beauty Collaboration
Despite facing the loss of her dad and disgusting troll comments as a result, Becky somehow always manages to come out smiling. Having grown her channel to over 150,000 subscribers, it's clear Becky made the right decision to quit her role at the BBC to pursue YouTube full time. Also: can we have her legs please? Thanks.
Gracie Franchesca - Most Inspiring Role Model
In our opinion, this award is the most deserved of them all. Over her entire career on YouTube, Gracie has strived to help her subscribers out. Having started her channel partly because she didn't see many other YouTubers of a similar build or race as herself, Gracie has gone on to gain hundreds of thousands of subscribers and expand her work into TV with a presenting role with the BBC during London Fashion Week. But it's her advice on everything from weight to self harm and body confidence that reall make Gracie shine.
Klaire De Lys - Best Creative Make-Up Tutorials
It's been the year for stand-out/all-out make-up tutorials on YouTube and it's proven dramatic make-up isn't just for Halloween. Klaire has over 700,000 subscribers who come to her for her incredible transformations including Disney princess looks, celebrity tutorials and even Voldermort make-up tutorials! Not subscribed? Head over to her channel and prepare to be amazed.
Man for Himself - Rising Male Star
Not heard of Robin James, AKA Man for Himself? Make sure you put him on your radar, especially if you're a fan of men's fashion and lifestyle videos. With around 55,000 subscribers, Robin uploads once per week and is mostly known for his brilliant men's hair tutorials. Congrats, Robin!
Sprinkle of Glitter - Best High Street Fashion YouTuber
Firstly, we're going to address the fact Louise looks like an absolute angel in this photo and it almost made us cry with beauty. Secondly, we're going to say a well done to Louise for bagging this award. And rightly so! Having released her first collection for Simply Be this year, Louise continues to be a source of inspiration and proves style has no size.
Pixiwoo - Most Established Brand
The Pixiwoo sisters, Sam and Nic, really pioneered beauty vlogging and inspired thousands of YouTubers to start their channels thanks to their celebrity tutorials. Now owners of the Real Techniques brand, the sisters have gone on to win critical acclaim for their brushes from vloggers, celebrities and make-up artists alike. Well done, ladies!
Patricia Bright - Most Innovative Fashion Videos
The final Instyle award went to Patricia Bright. Whilst Patricia's channel also features beauty and lifestyle, it's her fashion abilities that have bagged her this award. From beautifully shot lookbooks to hauls that make us want to hit the shops ASAP, Patricia's fashion uploads never fail to inspire us.
Love these photos? The winners have all done interviews with Instyle magazine which is in the shops now.
