"No Gabriella, 'T' as in 'Thanks for watching, don't forget to smash that like button'"

Superstar Zac Efron has surprised fans by dropping his very first YouTube video, which is part of a new personal channel he has launched.

The High School Musical star's first video is called 'We Spent 96 Hours In The Desert…' and is part of a new series he has launched called 'Off The Grid'. Zac describes this as "Outdoors and adventure with my best friend and brother, Dylan. Come along with us as we travel the world and get out of our comfort zones!"

The vid shows the Z-man taking some time away from his hectic Hollywood life to have some wholesome nice times in nature with his pals.

Zac also teased another series, an "workout and interview show" called “Gym Time”. Zac says: "you can expect to see adventures, workouts, nutrition and other sneak peaks inside my life. Hope you like it and don’t forget to subscribe."

Joining the likes of big ol' Hollywood actors like Jack Black and Will Smith, fans of Zac's are obviously now hyped that he's jumped on the YouTube wave.

Will, Jack, Zac... who's next? Fingers crossed for Jeff Goldblum.
