The YouTuber faced accusations of sexual misconduct in 2014.

A number of YouTubers have urged their followers to boycott a new book authored by Alex Day.

In 2014, Alex faced a number of allegations of misconduct with fans, and admitted to "manipulative relationships with women." His new book, which is called "Living And Dying On The Internet," and is being released on August 5th, has sparked anger within the YouTuber community - particularly from Alex's former girlfriend, Carrie Hope Fletcher.

Alex Day is publishing a book about his life (and death) online, apparently including details of our relationship," Carrie tweeted on July 24th, before urging her followers to not buy his book.

Other YouTubers including Lucy Moon, Beckii Cruel, Rowan Ellis and Jaack have also spoken out against the book.

Suggesting that the contents of his book had been misinterpreted by those calling for a boycott, Alex tweeted that fans will find out "what is actually says" when the book is released.
