The influencer allegedly left a man 'bleeding from the face'

Cameron Dallas was arrested on the 29th December 2018 for alleged assault, according to local police.

Cameron allegedly punched a man at the Hyatt Residences Grand Aspen hotel in Aspen, Colorado. Bill Linn, Assistant Chief for the Aspen Police, said in a statement that officers were called the location after a man was found with bleeding face, who claimed he had been assaulted.

"On further investigation officers arrested Cameron Dallas," Linn said.

Cameron rose to prominence on Vine and quickly became a social media megastar, with millions of followers on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. He even had a whole documentary made about him called Chasing Cameron.

He has posted Instagram stories since his arrest which show him walking freely, indicating his he has not been jailed in the short term.

Now Cameron has broken his silence on the matter

It is still not known precisely what happened, but Cameron has taken to Twitter to break his silence on what happened. Cameron tweeted out a picture of his mugshot, along with the cryptic message:

"Unfortunately sometimes in life you find yourself in a situation where you have to protect yourself and the people you care about, have a safe and happy new year, 2019 is going to be an amazing one."
