Google has introduced a slate of new emojis and people can't help but notice that two of the new male emojis look a little like a certain duo we all know
Today in world-changing emoji news, Google has revealed a new slate of emojis - and two of them look an aaaaaaaawful lot like everyone's favourite
cat and mouse team, crime-fighting duo, internet buddies Phil Lester and Daniel Howell. Was this a deliberate move? We would say No, with a capital No, because that move would make little to no sense. But that doesn't mean that we can't all enjoy speculating that the Google higher-ups may all be secret members of the Phandom.
'Google has announced that they are completely overhauling their emojis', is a hilariously 21st century sentence that I just typed. It's also true. Google is ditching the emoji design scheme it has been using for a number of years and replacing it with emojis that look more like Apple's. This is a pretty wise move considering that up until now, Google's emojis had a unique, blob-like design, which is to say they were ugly as all hell. Just look at these bastards. Gross:
We're glad that Google has finally seen the light. The question now is whether the inclusion of emojis that kinda look like D&P; will be enough to convince Phans to switch to a Google phone - and knowing the terrifying dedication of the Phandom, the answer is almost certainly yes.
