K-pop fans slammed for mocking Sean Dolan's death

This story contains content that some may find upsetting.
Certain Twitter users have been slammed for apparently making light of the recent tragic death of Sean Dolan, the father of Ethan and Grayson Dolan.
Sean tragically passed away this past weekend after a battle with cancer. Both Dolan brothers took to Twitter to pay tribute to their father, and to announce that they would be stepping away from social media for a while.
Life feels like a nightmare. Taking some time off to be with our family. I love you so much Dad. I’ll see you guys soon— Ethan Dolan (@EthanDolan) January 19, 2019
I can’t believe that today actually real. It doesn’t make sense. Ethan and I are going to be taking some time off and spending it with our family. I love you guys so much thank you so much for everything. I’ll be back soon♥️— Grayson Dolan (@GraysonDolan) January 19, 2019
However, while most people online posted respectful messages of condolence, some KPOP fans took Sean's passing as opportunity to mock the Dolan twins.
It's not clear why people did this, outside of straightforward spite, but it may be partly because of a joke that Grayson made in a video in 2018, in which he pretended to faint, and compared himself to a K-pop performer. K-pop performers have fainted on occasion due to the amount of work they do.
Yeah people overworking themselves and passing out is so funny LMAO OMG JAJAJJAJAJJAJAJAJ— ファティマ 🇲🇽💜 Promise (@Connie_sivanni) June 20, 2018
Of course, no matter what, there is absolutely no justification for mocking the tragic death of someone's father. Some of the tweets that people sent out in the wake of Sean's passing were reprehensible, here's just a sample:
so the dolan twins father died, which is absolutely awful. some kpoppies are posting the "maybe if he stanned.., he wouldnt have died" shit. and the majority have bts pictures bc they want to make army's look bad. please block and report these awful people bc death isnt funny. pic.twitter.com/Z2Qd5m0HCi— gray (@aesthetaeguk) January 20, 2019
remember when the dolan twins laughed about kpop idols passing out? who's alive now 😳 pic.twitter.com/rsZJLReU9X— alex (@prkjiminl) January 19, 2019
These tweets brought widespread condemnation from other K-pop fans

kpop stans need to stop acting as if they're fucking superior. stop, just stop. you guys have created such a bad name for yourself and you just make it worse!! who in the right state of mind mocks sean dolan's death!?— jasmine!! (@thinkaboutirwin) January 19, 2019
deeply ashamed of being a kpop stan today. these people are not like the rest of us, please know that. genuine kpop stans would never do such horrible things in such a difficult time. my apologies on behalf of the community, may sean dolan restin peace pic.twitter.com/VQMZ0M0iOj— amber 🎞 listen to desire by ateez start at 2:50 (@sensewonho) January 19, 2019
