The controversial 'church' has Elijah Daniel in its sights

In another unlikely twist in the ongoing Westboro/Lil Phag saga, the Westboro Baptist Church have announced that they intend on picketing Elijah Daniel's show in Kansas later this week.

For those that aren't aware, YouTuber Elijah Daniel is currently touring across the US as his rap alter ego, Lil Phag. Last month, the Westboro Bapist Church, an American hate-group that preaches homophobic bigotry under the guise of Christianity, and which is known for their picketing funerals and high profile pop concerts, mistakingly thought Lil Phag was homophobic and decided to promote his album on their Twitter account.

Several hours passed before they realised their error, in which time #WestboroLovesPhags had already started to trend across America and Elijah had tweeted his support for the hashtag: "Westboro Baptist Church just publicly endorsed and thinks god loves an album with lyrics like “yo dad sucked my dick, nut on his lip like chapstick”.

Now the Westboro church have released a statement saying they intend on picketing "proud sodomite" Elijah's show (Sept 10). In a statement, the church ask Elijah to "abstain from filthy fornication" and consider "making themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of God".

Ok then...

Elijah seems to be taking it all in his stride. Quote tweeting the church, he wrote: ""proud sodomite sinner” - that’s me!" and then "the westboro baptist chruch plugged their pintrest in a press release telling be to casturate myself 2018 is not real".

2018 is truly wild.

The show takes place on Sunday morning (how appropriate!) so I guess we'll have to wait and see how this one turns out. Good luck, Elijah!
