JackSepticEye has once again raised a shed load of cash for Charity, using the power of his online fame.
On Sunday 19th August, Jack - who recently took a short mental health hiatus from YouTube - kicked off his August charity stream, playing Fortnite with hundreds of thousands of fans watching along. In just three hours, Jack was able to raise over $100,000, with the final total at the end of the stage and eye-watering $100,678 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
What will the money be going towards?
All the money raised from Jack's livestream, will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Memphis-based hospital cares for children facing cancer and other life-threatening conditions, and also researches new ways to combat these illnesses.
Fans of Jack will know that this is far from his first charitable effort. The YouTuber regularly raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities through various live streams and merch sales, with funds going from a range of charities including children's health and mental health. Earlier this year he responded to Logan Paul's "suicide forest" controversy by raising $200,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
