Jake Paul And Erika Costell Are Taking A YouTube Break And Being Mysterious As Hell About It
27 February 2018, 11:03
Whatever they're up to, it can't be vlogged.
Both YouTubers announced their hiatuses in separate YouTube videos yesterday, but offered few details as to why they would be taking time away from the platform. What they both made clear, however, was that they were taking time to help people in need in a way that requires their full attention - hence the vlogging break.
Jake said, "I am taking some time to go and help some people that are in a lot of need, and it requires my full attention and I have to be 100% focussed on it and I'm not going to be able to vlog over the next couple of days. That doesn't mean the vlog is ending, I'm going to be back bvery soon. But this is something that's super important to me and i need to focus on helping.
Echoing Jake's sentiments, Erika said, "There is a situation right now that needs me full 100% present attention, and I have the opportunity t really make an impact and really help people who are in need right now. 9.9 times out of 10 I would vlog the experience, but I truly believe that this is one of those things that should be done privately, and something I should be giving my full attention to and not worrying about the camera.
Their hiatuses will only last a few days, which to most will seem insignificant; however, considering that Jake Paul has vlogged every day for over 500 days, and Erika over 200 days, even a short break is a big deal - especially to their fans.
I'm actually so upset that you're taking a break, but you have my full support and always will through any decision you choose to do, I love you and good luck for whatever it is you have to do.— Jaida Moore (@jaidamooree) February 26, 2018
