James Charles breaks silence in 41-minute video response to Tati Westbrook drama

James opens up about how bad his mental health got following the reaction on social media.
Giving a detailed recount of the timeline, from the Coachella drama to the fall out after Tati's first video, James pulls up receipts on every point that Tati made. He also responds to the allegations made against him, posts screenshots from messages Jeffree Star sent him and also calls out Zara Larsson for her now-deleted viral tweet in which she claimed James had slid into her boyfriends DMs.
James also discusses his own mental health was severly affected by Tati's video and the intense reaction on social media.
"The last few weeks of my life have been the most painful time I have ever had to deal with, and my head and brain for a hot minute went to a place so dark I didn’t think I would come back, and that… I can’t believe I just admitted that on camera," he says.
"People always say being a social media influencer is an easy job… but I don’t think any human being ever is prepared to deal with the pain and anxiety of what it feels like for millions of people to be talking to you at one time."
A few hours after uploading the video, James tweeted:
I made my video today NOT to start a war, but to take responsibility for my actions & clear my name. There ARE two sides to every story, & now you’ve heard both. I’m sure more will be said, but I’m moving on. You can form your opinions, but PLEASE do not send any hate to anyone.— James Charles (@jamescharles) May 18, 2019
I’m literally begging all of you. The internet has seen enough negativity in the last few weeks. Text your friends and tell them you love them. Give someone a compliment (but don’t be too forward)! Appreciate what you have and those around you. ❤️ love you all— James Charles (@jamescharles) May 18, 2019
