Zara was among the voices that spoke out against James Charles this week
Singer Zara Larsson has backtracked on a tweet where she accused James Charles of repeatedly trying to hit on her boyfriend, despite knowing he is straight.
As you are no doubt already aware, James Charles is not having a very good week, after fellow beauty YouTuber Tati Westbrook came for him in a 43 minute video. Since that video, James has lost millions of YouTube subscribers, been attacked by other YouTubers, and his subsequent apology video to Tati has become one of the most disliked YouTube videos of all time. Rough!
But mixed in among all this drama was Zara Larsson, who, on the 11th May, curiously decided to weigh in on the James Charles dunking contest by tweeting:
"I'm cackling cause he hit up my boyfriend in the dms several times knowing damn well he's straight".
Zara has been dating model Brian H Whittaker for a number of years now and the pair frequently post happy pictures of themselves together.
Not long after, on the very same day, Zara walked back on that claim in a new tweet, which said:
"I feel like deleting this cause I checked and it wasn't several times, only one dm and some comments under pictures".
Zara has deleted both tweets - but because this is the internet and nothing is ever truly deleted, we of course have screenshots for you:
Zara later tweeted that she deleted her initial tweets:
"It made me really uncomfortable cause I felt like it was unproportiunally blown up and I honestly don't wanna be a part of it. I feel like I shouldn't have made my self involved, even if the behavior is problematic in general."

Now, Jeffree Star has spoken and spilled some piping hot tea. He even revealed James was banned from his house by his boyfriend-of-four years Nathan Schwandt and labelled him a "danger to society".
