Joe Sugg has performed for the first time on Strictly Come Dancing with his partner Dianne Buswell (Sept 22).

It was announced in August that Joe would be the first YouTuber to take part in the hit BBC dancing show, and his partnership with Dianne Buswell was announced two weeks ago. Fans have been eagerly awaiting his first dance ever since.

Joe Sugg Secretly Trolled The 'Strictly Come Dancing' Audience On Live TV

Performing the jive to a cover of A-Ha's 'Take On Me', Joe wore a lilac suit, shimmering red and orange suit and silver sequin converse trainers, Joe put on a great performance. In fact, we're just going to come out and say it: he killed it.

There was no public vote this week, so no one will be leaving the show in the first week, but the dancers did receive a score from the judges and they absolutely LOVED Joe's performance, scoring 27 overall - one of the highest scores of the night and fifth out of all 12 dancers.

This Is How Many Subscribers Joe Sugg Has LOST Since Joining Strictly Come Dancing

Bruno Tonioli said: "You have to be the biggest [surprise tonight] I wasn't expecting it at all! While Craig Revel Horwood, typically the harshest judge, said: "I did not have high hopes for you at all... but that has changed everything."

Fans were going crazy over Joe's dancing skills.

Writing in his new Strictly column for The Telegraph, Joe revealed how nervous he was about his first performance on the show.

"My stomach sinks when I think about Saturday’s first live show", he wrote. "I’m dancing a Jive to Take On Me by A-ha. My guilty pleasure is Eighties music. I’m definitely going to have a pair of sunglasses, and there’s two parts in the dance that I think people are going to love."

He continued: "My pro partner Dianne [Buswell] says that I’ve got a good ear for music and my rhythm is getting better. She also pointed out that I have a long neck, which is good for ballroom, the style I’m most looking forward to. There’s already five Twitter accounts called Support Joe’s Neck, which shows what my fan base is like!"
