Joe Sugg? Singing? On stage? In a musical? I NEED A TICKET NOW!
Fresh off his almost win on Strictly Come Dancing (and off his actual win on the Strictly Come Dancing tour), Joe Sugg is about to launch his all-singing all-dancing career in London's West End - he's gone and bagged himself a role in Waitress.
Announcing the news on Twitter, Joe revealed that he is set to star as Ogie, the hilarious and geeky character who spends the entire show trying to romance Dawn (who, funnily enough, is currently being played by his Strictly co-star Ashley Roberts.) He'll be replacing Blake Harrison from The Inbetweeners.
And yes, that means Joe Sugg will actually be singing live.

In a statement, Joe said: "I got to see the show a couple of months back and it's absolutely fantastic. I'm excited to be a part of the cast and to have now landed a role in the West End really has topped off an incredible year for me. I hope I do everyone proud and thanks to all my supporters for making it all possible and the best year yet."
Joe starts rehearsals this week and he's already looking forward to testing his acting skills: “[Ogie] falls for Dawn but she is not that into him, but he is very confident and persistent at getting what he wants. I’m not like that at all so it is a good test of my acting skills.”
According to the Evening Standard, Joe said that he has taken singing lessons for the role and won't be relying on his success on Strictly to carry him through: “When I told people I was going for the role or that I had got it they said, ‘Oh well, you’ll be fine because you did Strictly’ but I was the underdog on that, I had no pressure on me and people didn’t have any expectations of me and I can’t do that again.”
Joe will join the show from September 9. The show is set to run until January 2020 so if you wanna see Joe on stage, better go get those tickets ASAP!
