Keem came for Lilly on Twitter

Keemstar has lashed out against Lilly Singh on Twitter, branding her "plastic".

The tweet, which was seemingly entirely unprompted, read: "@IISuperwomanII you are trying to hard & becoming too plastic. You would have got more views if you did 12 collabs with smaller YouTubers. I just gave similar advice to someone in our space that’s going mainstream. It’s a common issue we have."

What's he so mad about?

Keemstar is referring to Lilly's recent "12 days of collabs" videos, which have featured a variety of celebrities, including John Cena, Terry Crews and Alicia Keys.

Keem seems to have taken exception to this, as he is seemingly one of those creators who is not happy with the growing number of celebs on the site (this can be seen in the generally unpopularity of Will Smith's cameo in this year's much despised YouTube Rewind).

Lilly has not yet responded to Keem.

This is not the first bit of online criticism Lilly has received recently. Near the end of 2018, Lilly got into an argument with PewDiePie, after he disagreed with a tweet she posted which showed her dismay at the lack of women on the Forbes highest earning YouTubers list for the year. It ended with Lilly asking Felix to chat to her privately, and it's not publicly known if the feud was ever resolved.

However, there may be more at play here. Today Keem tweeted: "I'M BORED!!!!!!!!!!!!"

So there's a good chance he was just having a prod at Lilly in order to have something to do (hey, we've all been there).

The reaction to Keem's tweet was decidedly mixed

We'll have to wait and see if this develops into anything.

What do you make of all this nonsense? Do you think Keem has a point or do you think he should just leave Lilly alone? Sound off in our Facebook comments or tweet us @wetheunicorns.
