Logan has stepped up security after the internet turned on him for a recent slate of controversial videos

Logan Paul has stepped up security at his £4.8million LA mansion, following a massive and often furious backlash against him bubbled over online.

A security car, parked conspicuously in the driveway of his home, was spotted by photographers hoping to catch a glimpse of the star who has gone dark on social media since the controversy.

Logan received near universal condemnation from YouTube fans and the general public alike after he posted a video of a suicide victim's body that he had found in the infamous 'suicide forest' in Japan.

The video was condemned by YouTubers, celebrities and even a Japanese suicide charity. Despite all this, though, Logan actually gained subscribers following the scandal.
