It's almost like kids are not known for their refined tastes
Reserach firm Childwise has released a study looking at the media habits of 2,000 UK children aged five to 16.
The study states, for UK kids, YouTube is the most popular online destination, with effectively all five to 16-year-olds visiting the site. That's wild.
However, what is more wild is who children across the board selected as their favourite YouTuber.
Yeah, it's Logan Paul
Simon Leggett, research director at Childwise stated that: "Zoella losing her top YouTuber slot to Logan Paul shows that we could be moving into a new era with a change in the kind of vloggers that are popular with children. Children used to mainly follow wholesome, big-sister/brother types who offered chatty advice and company. However, children's favourite new vloggers are more edgy, with a style more akin to negative playground behaviour where the most popular vloggers are the ones that do the worst possible things they can get away with on YouTube."
We probably don't need to tell you about the various scandals that have consumed Logan in the nascent 2018 - all stemming from his now infamous 'suicide forest video'.
One of the most striking observations Childwise made was that, according to Leggett: "Prior to this year, Logan had not been chosen by children at all."
