They joined Jerrome Jarre on the 2017 list of YouTubers who have done amazing work for charity

Markiplier and Lilly Singh have been named of the most charitable creators of 2017 by, a charity that mobilises young people around the world 'to make real-world impact on a cause you care about'. publishes an annual list called Celebs Gone Good ranking, which gives credit to celebrities who have used their fame and platform to promote positive change. This years list their tenth and the winners in the creator category were chosen by fans.

Jerome Jarre, a former Vine star and all-round nice guy took the top spot in recognition of his #LoveArmy movement, which aims to combat famine in Somalia and which has expanded to help people in Mexico and in the US in the wake of the Las Vegas mass shooting.


Second place went to a certain Mr Markiplier, who is renowned for using his platform to raise money for charity. In fact he managed to raise nearly half a million dollars in just one go, in a recent marathon livestream.


Lilly Singh came in third and it is hard to overstate just what an incredible year she has had. She was the first online creator to be named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She worked hard with her #GirlLovecampaign, which promotes girls around the world, and she raised money with her 'me to we' jewellery campaign. Lilly was followed in the list by Anna Akana and Jenn Im.
