We the Unicorns

By Charleyy Hodson

Things got pretty revealing when we caught up with Oli on his book tour...

Last week, Oli White dropped by Unicorns HQ to talk about his brand new book, Generation Next! As well as getting up close and personal in our Facebook Live video where he answered YOUR questions, he also answered some saucy Snog, Marry or Avoid questions before revealing some interesting facts about himself - mostly about how much he appreciates pigeons.

Below you can read the whole interview and find out what happened when we talked to Oli White about his YouTube friends and what he hopes the future will hold for his channel. If you're a fan of Oli's and want to get a load of more White content, check out our archives and live your best life!

WTU: Which YouTuber deserves to be more famous than you?

Oli: All my friends really, they all put so much effort into their videos. The people I am around are very creative guys and put a lot of work in.

WTU: What's your go-to karaoke song?

Oli: Probably a bit of Justin Bieber.

WTU: What's your second oldest memory?

Oli: One memory that I always have in the back of my mind is when we had really bad turbulence on a plane and I ended up just laying almost in the aisle. It must be when I was like 6 or 7?

WTU: What is the one video that you made and loved, but no one else seemed to like?

Oli: There are some videos that I put a lot of effort into and then people are more interested in seeing you have a bath in something. I think maybe my book announcement video? I put a lot of work and effort into that and it did well. Don’t get me wrong, it still got something like 600/700 thousand views which I am very grateful for, but videos of me throwing water on my brothers head which has something like 2 or 3 million views...

WTU: If we offered you a free horse right now, would you accept it?

Oli: I don’t really like horse’s. I would probably give it away to someone who loves horses.

WTU: Regardless of whether you would keep the horse or not, what would you name it?

Oli: Erm, I don’t know why but the name Polly came in to my head.! Polly the horse?!

WTU: Which popular celebrity would you want to go mountain biking with?

Oli: Biebs or Leonardo Dicaprio, so I can hear about all his Oscar parties.

WTU: What was the first subscriber milestone that really blew you away?

Oli: I think it was a 1,000 really. 100 was still amazing to be honest, but a 1,000 is SUCH a big number of people.

WTU: If you could collaborate with anyone who isn’t a YouTuber, who would it be?

Oli: There are so many interesting people. I would love to do a video with Jennifer Lawrence, I think she would be really fun.

WTU: Do you think your channel will be remembered in 50 years?

Oli: Ooh I don’t know, it’s hard to say. Who knows what the future holds, but hopefully I have some kind of impact.

WTU: How many friends does a human being really need to be happy?

Oli: I would say I have around 10/12 REALLY good friends in different groups, and I'm very happy with the friends I have.

WTU: Name an animal you have NO time for?

Oli: I want to say pigeons, but even they give me a good old laugh. They just have no idea what they’re doing so I appreciate pigeons as well. Maybe sharks. I don't like the ocean though... because of sharks.

WTU: What was the last thing that made you cry?

Oli: I think it was probably tears of joy, I think my mum set me off or something.

WTU: When you were 15, what was your most prized possession?

Oli: My Xbox and computer.
