The battle rages on
Bhushan Kumar, the Chairman and Managing Director of Indian production company T-series, has urged people to subscribe to the T-Series YouTube channel, as it battles against PewDiePie to become the most subscribed channel in the world.
The company has been nipping at Felix's heels for some time now, but the Swedish internet star has managed to keep them at bay far longer than many of us expected. This was due in part to help he received from other creators like Markiplier and JackSepticEye.

Kumar tweeted out a video, with the caption:
We’re on the brink of becoming the world’s biggest @YouTube channel. We can make history. We can make India win. Subscribe to @TSeries #BharatWinsYouTube https://t.co/izEu8dzHdf pic.twitter.com/dJumzHwADa— Bhushan Kumar (@itsBhushanKumar) March 6, 2019
In the video, Bhushan says:
“There is an Indian YouTube channel on the brink of becoming World’s No.1. It has taken us a lot of effort to come this far. To take my father Mr. Gulshan Kumar’s dream forward, I started this channel. Today, it belongs to you, to the entire nation. It’s a historic moment for all of us. So let’s come together and subscribe to T-Series YouTube channel and make India proud."
And then PewDiePie fired back.
Felix quote-tweeted the video and said simply: "They are getting desperate 👏"
Nine-year-old PewDiePie fans took this as a rallying cry.
