Shane Dawson's 'Mind Of Jake Paul' Trailer: All The Things You Missed

Here's our first proper look at Shane Dawson's new documentary series
Shane Dawson has dropped an extended trailer for his new documentary series, the much-anticipated 'Mind Of Jake Paul'. We already know that the series will be hours long, having been cut down from "like a 100 hours of footage".
The trailer is less than two minutes long but leaves us asking even more questions than we were before. Reaquaint yourself with it here and then we'll dive into the nitty gritty:
1. Shane's plan
Shane begins his trailer by saying he came up with 'a plan' which he describes as 'shady'. He also says he's 'never done something like this before'. This leads us to think that Shane managed to convince Jake to agree to the documentary under shady circumstances. More on this later...
2. The blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos
Aside from Shane and Jake, the trailer features appearances from Keemstar, Logan Paul (on speakerphone), Jake Paul's dad (who recently had his nudes leaked), their mother, Ryland Adams, Andrew Siwicki and assorted members of Team 10. It seems that Shane's promise that this series will be more wide-reaching in focus than simply Jake himself was definitely truthful.
3. Nick Crompton seems to still be with Team 10... despite having left in May
Nick Crompton, the British Team 10 member, infamous for his 'England is my city' rap makes an appearance in the trailer... which is curious.
Back in May, Nick Crompton left Team 10, posting that "due to internal changes being made within our various businesses that I don’t agree with, I have resigned both as chief operations officer and as talent…the vision for the business, people involved, and direction it’s now going in no longer makes sense to me.”
However, he can be clearly seen in this trailer taking on some kind of management role. The series was not filming as far back as May, as far as we know. This means that either Shane has been getting footage for longer than we thought or that Nick has returned to Team 10.
4. Jake's trust
At the very end of the trailer you can hear Jake Paul's voice saying "I trust you, I trust you." If you couple this with a video Shane posted of Jake reacting with shock to some footage and Shane's general worry in the trailer, you can conclude the angle of this series. It looks like Shane convinced Jake to trust him, possibly by telling him that the documentary would be flattering, but actually sought to make something more honest (and less flattering).
5. The Paul team tries to take control
One of the biggest themes throughout the trailer appears to be the Paul team trying to control what Shane films and when. In the run-up to the documentary, many thought that the issue with the doc would be Jake's wild antics (and the trailer certainly isn't short of that) but it seems that the real obstacle for Shane is more trying to get any useful footage at all without being blocked by Jake and his managers.
