A Wrinkle-Inducing List Of Everything Younger Than YouTube

You're about to feel old as hell.
Age is horrid thing. With two of our Unicorns having their birthdays in the past week, we're reminded of just how scary it is to be older than millions of other things on the planet.
So with this in mind, let's take a look at everything YouTube is officially older than as it leaves its 10th year of existence.
All of them. Literally none of them existed in 2005 when YouTube started. So, what the hell did we watch it on before the smart phone came along?! The mind boggles.
Not only is YouTube older, but it's FOUR YEARS older than the Zynga game answer to addictive drugs. If that craze feels like a century ago, how old does YouTube make you feel?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It feels like not a single month in history has happened without a new flipping Marvel movie. Yet, the very first one, Iron Man, was only released in 2008, thus making YouTube older than our undying love for Robert Downey Junior as Tony Stark. Madness!
Since YouTube's creation in February 2005, Star Wars has both ended and started again. Some would also say that it was simultaneously ruined as resurrected, but we're totally unbiased in this argument. (It's all true)
This was a close race, but YouTube wins the Age Game again with 9 months over the Xbox 360. It's fascinating to acknowledge though that two of the greatest innovations to have happened to the entertainment industry happened within 12 months of each other!
President Barack Obama.
President Barack Obama was officially inaugurated in 2009, only 4 years after YouTube's creation. We're 100% certain he was boning up on election speeches by watching the likes of Shane Dawson and SMOSH. This is an undeniable fact.
Can you imagine a world without Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Adele? Well it existed in 2005 around the same time that YouTube was launched. Number One's at the time? Eminem, Elvis Presley and Good Charlotte. Good Charlotte. What a world.
I mean, I was a teenager when I was watching this show!! Obviously I'm an adult now, but pop culture isn't allowed to age as well! Thankfully, Miley and that god-awful blonde wig aren't as old as some other things on this list.
The Royal Wedding.
Kate and Wills have been married now for nearly 5 years, and have since had two beautiful children. Whilst that may be impressive to some, in only double that amount of time we've had the birth of our two favourite cinnamon rolls on the entire planet - Dan and Phil. So beat that Royal Family.
Blue Ivy, daughter to Beyonce and Jay Z, was born in 2013 has literally never lived a day in her life without YouTube. Frankly, we're just bitter that we can't say the same.
We The Unicorns.
At half a year old, we are officially the youngest thing on this list! What makes us stand out is the sheer dedication we have to a website that has just surpassed it's 10th birthday. We hope, along with all your lovely readers, that we'll be doing another listicle like this in 10 years time!
